– *Note: Rigid Axle’s OE Dry 2-Cut is only available for rear 8.6″ ring and pinions. The GM 8.25″ IFS has a carrier break at 3.23 & numerically lower/ 3.42 & numericallyhigher. That means if you have 3.08-3.23 ratios from the factory, and would like to run 3.42-5.13 ratios, you will need to buy a new carrier. Contact support if you need help figuring out what carrier you have.
– Rigid Axle’s OE Dry 2-Cut and aftermarket ring and pinion gear sets are made from heat treated8620 steel. OurOE Dry 2-Cut ring and pinionsare made using a two-cut,face hobbedmanufacturing process. The advantage to running a 2-Cut gear is how quiet they operate.If you want a guaranteed quiet gear, upgrade to our Dry 2-Cut gear set!When these gears are set up properly and rolled with gear marking compound, the pattern will show up slanted.Our aftermarketgear set is made using a five-cut,face milledmanufacturing process. Once set up correctly, this will give a square contact pattern on the drive and coast side of each tooth.We are proud of our ring and pinion lines, and you will be too!
